Sic'em Bears!

Last week we headed down to SA to celebrate Christmas with Doug's family and to watch our Heisman trophy winner in the Alamo Bowl!  The kids had so much fun playing with their cousins.  Marlie said she didn't want to grow old because then she won't have any cousins to play with.  We promised her that her cousins will still be around even when she's old too!

We were excited to see the Zunker's and Hatter's at the pregame party!  I've known those families so long it's funny.  The kids are all so cute!  Matt had fun playing with Parks and Marlie was so excited that she remembered Hayden and said "yeah Mom Hayden is my friend...I love Hayden"!
Then it was off to the game!  Shawn and Cale came with us.  M&M were so excited about their signs.  Matt literally held his sign up about 95% of the time we were there.  He wanted to be on TV so bad.  During the 4th quarter Doug gave in and told Matt he saw him on TV.  He had the biggest smile on his face!  He was not on TV but it broke our hearts that he was trying so hard and where we were sitting, there was no way he'd be on TV.  Thank you to the not so smart people who designed the Alamodome with horrible seating!!

Also, check out Matt's hat.  Dad came up with the idea and then Matt did shortly after too.  We put an "R" and "III" on either side of the Green Bay "G".  On the bus ride home another Dad asked Matt if he could take a picture of his super cool hat.  Matt smiled big!!
It was a great game that lasted slightly past midnight!!  The kids did good considering.  Marlie went delirious in the 3rd quarter and started dancing and cheering like crazy.  An older gentlemen was leaving at the end of the game and said "well your daughter sure had a good time".  She was hilarious!  Congrats to RGIII!  There's not a more deserving guy in college football!
